A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN
Eugene O’Neill’s A Moon for the Misbegotten reunites James “Jamie” Tyrone, Jr. with his tenant, the gruff Irish farmer Mike Hogan, and Hogan’s fierce, tender-hearted daughter, Josie. On a moonlit night filled with longing, Josie offers Jamie love and understanding in the face of his grief and regret. Though he cannot stay, their connection brings a moment of grace. By dawn, Jamie is gone—but Josie, though heartbroken, holds on to the quiet hope that love, once given, leaves something behind.
