Intern Artist Application

Thank you for your interest in the ASL Impact program!

This internship opportunity is designed for student (pre-licensed) or provisionally licensed interpreters seeking hands-on experience in the dynamic field of theatrical interpreting for live stage productions. Selected applicants will have the chance to interpret a live performance alongside one of our experienced, licensed theatrical interpreters.

As an intern artist, you will actively support and volunteer to promote ASL accessibility in community theatre, helping to create inclusive, engaging experiences for Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. This role bridges artistic expression and language access, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to the arts while honing your craft. Through immersive experience in theatrical settings, you'll grow both as a creative artist and as a future professional interpreter, gaining valuable insight into performance, collaboration, and creatively responsive interpreting.
