Uncover the creative heartbeat of performance to elevate your theatrical interpreting from a technical task to an artful collaboration.

In this unique session, we shift the focus away from the mechanics of signs and toward the raw creative process of the actor. Interpreters are invited to "listen in" on an intimate panel discussion featuring professional actors as they pull back the curtain on how they build a character, interpret a script, and inhabit a role.

By exploring the internal world of the performer, you will gain a deeper understanding of the artistic intentions you are tasked with conveying on stage. This panel is designed to help you bridge the gap between literal translation and artful interpretation.

What to Expect:

Behind-the-Scenes Insights: Hear actors discuss their preparation, emotional arcs, and the "why" behind their performance choices.

Deep-Dive Inquiry: Guided questions will highlight how an actor’s creative journey can inform an interpreter's physical presence and linguistic tone.

Shifting Perspectives: Move beyond "getting the words right" to capturing the essence, rhythm, and theatricality of the performance.

Collaborative Reflection: Engage in a post-panel discussion on how to integrate these artistic insights into your professional practice.

Join us for this essential exploration of theatrical interpreting and discover how understanding the artist's process can transform your work into a more resonant and impactful experience for the audience.
