This lighthearted holiday story explores the comedic and heartfelt adventures of Mrs. Claus and her Elves as they trade snow for sand, offering a unique twist on Christmas cheer and then return back to the North Pole before the big day.

Del-Afton Preston is a recent graduate of the American Sign Language Interpreter Training Program at Coconino Community College, bringing 15 years of experience interpreting within the Deaf community and 18 years of involvement in theater. Her career in interpreting began at the age of 14, inspired by her connection with a Deaf friend in high school, which sparked her passion for advocacy and providing accessibility. With a profound appreciation for both theater and ASL, Del seamlessly merges these two disciplines, committed to giving back to the communities she values. She is excited to work with the Impact program and serve on their volunteer board.

Theater has been part of Lizzie’s life for as long as she can remember. She grew up performing in school and community productions, however, it was while studying for her B.A. in Interpreting at Gallaudet University that she discovered another passion—voice acting. Lizzie credits her time with Gallaudet’s incredible theater department for shaping how she sees the power of language and performance especially as it relates to ASL.Lizzie has been involved in the Deaf community most of her life, not only as an interpreter for 17 years but also as an advocate, working to support accountability and access in Deaf education. Originally from Virginia Beach, Lizzie and her family moved here to Arizona 2 years ago and while the desert is great and all, she still misses the ocean every day. Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball with her wife, fishing with her children, and hiking with her Golden Retriever, Kuzco! Lizzie is overjoyed to join the ASL Impact team and bring her love of theater, language, and community connection to the stage.

Sierra Harward is an ASL interpreter and graduate of the University of Arizona’s Interpreter Training Program. With three years of experience in educational settings, she’s eager to explore performance interpreting and contribute to inclusive access in the arts. Sierra is passionate about connecting with the Deaf community and supporting representation on and off stage.

Cameron Lucas Eggers

An artist at heart, Cameron Lucas Eggers feels inspired by the expressive nature of American Sign Language. Cameron is not only a professional ASL interpreter, but also an actor and dancer. Cameron’s debut with Order Chaos Theatre Company was portraying James Leeds in Children of a Lesser God, which was the culmination of years pursuing his lifelong passions. Cameron is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to perform, and now serve as the ASL Impact Founder, CEO, and Creative Director. He hopes that through theater, music, and art that the interpreting and ASL community can grow in camaraderie and provide encouraging and safe spaces for all to thrive. “ASL is a gift I’ve received from countless people on my journey. It’s an honor to be a part of a story that is so much bigger than all of us.”
