Who's who?

Christina Moreau

Born and raised in Japan as the only Deaf student at an international school, Christina Moreau developed a deep love for language, culture, and cross-cultural connection. Now based in Phoenix, she works as a Certified Deaf Interpreter, and is particularly passionate about supporting Deaf immigrants and those from diverse linguistic backgrounds. A lifelong lover of the arts, Christina has acted in school and community theatre productions and served on the board of a Seattle organization promoting ASL accessibility in community theatre. She also holds master’s degrees in Intercultural Studies and Deaf Education. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, watching Asian dramas, and spending time with her Deaf Korean husband and their two dogs.

Cameron Lucas Eggers

An artist at heart, Cameron Lucas Eggers feels inspired by the expressive nature of American Sign Language. Cameron is not only a professional ASL interpreter, but also an actor and dancer. Cameron’s debut with Order Chaos Theatre Company was portraying James Leeds in Children of a Lesser God, which was the culmination of years pursuing his lifelong passions. Cameron is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to perform, and now serve as the ASL Impact Founder, CEO, and Creative Director. He hopes that through theater, music, and art that the interpreting and ASL community can grow in camaraderie and provide encouraging and safe spaces for all to thrive. “ASL is a gift I’ve received from countless people on my journey. It’s an honor to be a part of a story that is so much bigger than all of us.”

Del-Afton Preston

Del-Afton Preston is a recent graduate of the American Sign Language Interpreter Training Program at Coconino Community College, bringing 15 years of experience interpreting within the Deaf community and 18 years of involvement in theater. Her career in interpreting began at the age of 14, inspired by her connection with a Deaf friend in high school, which sparked her passion for advocacy and providing accessibility. With a profound appreciation for both theater and ASL, Del seamlessly merges these two disciplines, committed to giving back to the communities she values. She is excited to work with the Impact program and serve on their volunteer board.

Darian Gerow

Darian Gerow, a graduate of Phoenix College’s Interpreter Preparation program, has his theatrical interpreting debut with Order Chaos theatre company, though he is no stranger to the arts. Over 20 years of passion and varied musical and theatrical experiences have brought Darian to add performance interpreting to his repertoire. Darian aspires to grow from this theatrical experience and incorporate this new knowledge into other productions and stagecraft to provide access and enjoyment of the arts for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, as the arts were so vital to him.
